About Me

The Eurasian Griffon Vulture is a large bird, with a cream ring around its neck. Plumage is mainly pale brown with dark flight feathers on the wings and tail. Griffon vultures are often seen soaring in thermals in the Mediterranean as they search for food. Eurasian Griffon vultures are a fairly vocal bird and have multiple calls when interacting with other Griffons. 

Conservation Status:

Due to its large population and vast breeding range, the Eurasian griffon is not considered to be globally threatened.
